Our icemaker and water would not send anything out the door on the fridge. Water would sometimes come out. The serviceman comes and says we need a new icemaker. He installs it. $400 later I have to wait 24 hours to thaw water line as he says the water line has ice and that is why the water will not come out. I told him sometimes it does come out. He said it was ice. I plug in the fridge after 24 hours and all our food is all out in the snow. I come back and there is a frozen waterfall in the freezer. I call an the phone rep is nasty. And the guy on the phone could care less. I asked for a supervisor or a more senior tech. They refused. Same guy has to come back 2 days later Sat. (soonest available) was to call when on his way, as I was not home so... he called my cell when he was AT the house. I told him to go in. He says the hose was too short as ice maker is newer model and different, and he adjusted (he did not check this before, in other words.) I asked him to check if the water in the door and the ice in the door work while we were on the phone. He assured me they worked. Now I get home and there is still no water in the door and no ice and the ice mover does not turn. Now he will have to come for a third time, and the original problem was that the door mechanism did not work, still does not work. Now they are closed. So I have to wait the weekend. And he did not wipe his feet and tracked snowy salt all over the house. If the mechanism in the door has to be replaced or here is an electronic failuure I would not opt to pay $400 for an icemaker and another whatever the amount for the door. Wasted money due to poor diagnostics and poor repair, repair I may not even have opted for since I only paid $900 for the fridge two years ago. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY THESE GUYS ARE NOT GOOD. HORRIBLE A WASTE OF TIME MONEY AND CAUSED UNDUE FRUSTRATION , MY WHIRLPOOL REPAIR PEOPLE ARE EXCELLENT.
