Amerigo Restaurant

I came in and had a great experience at Amerigo in Cool Springs. My server, AJ took excellent care of me and my wife on our anniversary. I had the Salmon on the cedar plank and she had the Eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes were amazing! We finished with their homemade Tiramisu which was to die for. I also really liked their wine list. They offered some more obscure Italian reds by the glass, but I noticed they had some of the bigger name wines too. Seriously run, don't walk there! more

Thanks so much for hosting our birthday party. Everyone had a great time. The food was excellent, and the server was not put off by the presents and general merriment that we brought with us. We will be back very soon to enjoy another memorial meal. more

Just had a great dinner at Amerigo. Very cool laid back vibe. Service was very prompt and efficient. The food was excellent. We had the mussels and then a really good sausage pasta. I can't wait to return. You have to try the tiramisu. more

We have always enjoyed our meals at Amerigos. Their salads are excellent. Their early bird specials are a steal with $2. appetizers and salads. The servers never seem to rush us. Every entree we have had has been excellent. Great atmosphere. more

I will have to say that I have never enjoyed this restaurant in the many times that I have dined there with my family. I have never had an entree at Amerigo I have liked. I do not like the pasta and I dislike the pizza even more. The pasta is watery and the pizza I have had does not taste like pizza to me. Additionally, I dislike the very dim lighting inside of Amerigo. For Italian food in Nashville, I cannot recommend Amerigo. As for the service, it has generally been acceptable, at least at the Cool Springs location. more

I love Amerigo, its one of my favorite places to dine....during the winter. They have great food, great specials, great drinks and even better service. However, it is always hot. Its like the A/C is always broken. I felt bad for our server the other night who seemed to be drenched in sweat. This is my family's favorite place to go eat. I can take my family of 5 for a delicious meal without breaking the bank. The kids can eat for less than $5, and they like to color on the paper they have on the tables. My husband and I usually share our entrees because we can never pick one favorite. However, the Pork Tenderloin and Chicken Tuscany are high up on our list. It is so hard to find a restaurant that appeases the whole family, but we have finally found it! I just stopped by Amerigo in Cool Springs for the first time. I have been to the Nashville location before, but I didn't know there was another. My server was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. They have a new cocktail list that features fresh squeezed juices and a lot of artisanal liqueurs that I have never heard of. Try the Dimmi Cooler. It's delicious. My wife has allergies, and they have a decent selection of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes too. The atmosphere was extremely comfortable. I went to Amerigo the other day and absolutely loved it. We wanted to start off with an appetizer, but since there were only two of us, I wasn't sure if we would still want dinner. To my delight they offered half sizes of their appetizers. I was able to enjoy the cheese fritters, and yet still have room for dinner. I got a tortellini dish with crab meat on it. They put the crab right on top so you can see just how much they are giving you. The dish was amazing. My date got a pizza which was also great. We finished off with some Tiramisu. All I can say is wow. Best I have ever had! Easily the best in Nashville. We didn't drink, but they have a drink menu with some really cool drinks on it. They also have a very nice wine list. I really need to come here more often and try some of the wines. I almost forgot about the service. Every time I eat here I get great service, so I guess I just expect it and am not surprised by it. My cousin and I went here for a girl's night out. It was so relaxing, the food, the atmosphere, the music just made the whole experience more enjoyable. The food was so delicious. We didn't order any drinks, but both seen several we would like to try later on. The cheese fritters were so good! I am a food and wine lover, and Amerigo has got that down!! Their wine list is made for the menu!! It is all Italian and American!!If you like good Italian food, you know that wine is just as important as the main course, most of the wines on their list go with their food.(in all price ranges) The service staff knows it well, too. Our server recommended a wine with our food that was out of this world!! I would definatly recommendthis restaurant to all who love a true dining EXPERIENCE!! This one is much different from the one downtown. It is much more upscale and elegant (especially for Cool Springs). Same great food and service. Great music, as well! more

We recently ate here and things got off to a rough start. We were seated in one of the inner back rooms and no one ackowleged us for over 10 minutes. Literally as we were walking out the door, our watier appeared. The food was fantastic, the service was first rate and I was surprised at the relatively inexpensive bill. We'll defininitely be back!
