Businiess name:  Marco Polo Pizzeria
Review by:  James A.
Review content:
Here's an overview of my first (and last) experience with Marco Polo Pizzeria. Before we start I need to point out that I've been a delivery driver, I treat them with respect and tip well. We called and placed an order and gave them our credit card number. The food arrives but the delivery man doesn't have the credit card receipt for me to sign. I'm a little annoyed because the delivery driver is acting pissed at me for having the audacity to ask where the credit card receipt is. Whatever - it happens and good help is hard to find. I dig out the checkbook and write out a check. While I'm doing that my wife calls Marco Polo to find out what happened to the receipt, not being entirely comfortable with an unsigned receipt with a blank tip line being "somewhere". The guy on the phone swears the deliver driver has the receipt and asks for her to ask the driver again. My wife does so, and the delivery driver begins getting loud, saying repeatedly he doesn't know why we called Marco Polo about this. Attempts to explain are caught in some sort of weird English-as-a-second-language vortex and ignored. At this point I've finally located the checkbook and written a check. I take it out to him and he proceeds to tell me that he's recalculated our bill and we owe more because something wasn't included. He wants to up the bill 25%. He's treating me like I'm attempting to commit fraud. I go back inside, hit redial and confirm with Marco Polo what the total should be. (They confirm the amount they told us, not what the driver is saying.) When I tell the the driver what they said, he gets agitated and tells us "So what?" Since he had my check and I had most of my order, I dropped the items that were in contention and asked him to leave. I did explain to him exactly what I thought of his professionalism, customer service and interpersonal skills. I've never done that before but I've never had someone show up on my doorstep and treat me so badly. I called Marco Polo twice after that, asking to speak to a manager. No one has called me back. After reading the other reviews it doesn't surprise me.
