Review content:
When I was a student at the local university, I made several walks into town from campus for various reasons. One day I happened to notice this book store off the plaza, and hoped to find some great reading! One project I had for a geography class, was to do a history of the Arcata Plaza- the hotel, the Jacoby's Storehouse, etc. I found a news paper from the 70's, which was an anniversary edition of what the plaza looked like a century earlier. It was amazing to find the news paper in such good condition, for one thing. And it was not expensive at all. They also had several autographed books, several collectibles at a great price- including the Serendipity children's series that I started collecting as a child. Thanks to the Tin Can, I found many of them during my course as a student. I havent' been in Arcata in years, but I miss it, and I really do miss the Tin Can.
