This is just a warning for anyone wanting to use Brocking Uphostery for any type of repair. I took a lift chair that belongs to my father, who is 87 years old to get repair here. What a horrible experiense I have had. The lady that answers the phone has no customer service or personallity at all, but I know where she got it from the owner, Brockington himself treats customers the same way. My son dropped the chair off on a Monday and was told we could pick the chair up on Thursday evening or Friday. After not hearing from them on Monady I call and got a very rude lady. She told me the chair was not ready and it would be 7-10 days. I explained to her that Ken told my son we could pick it up last week and she just blasted him for telling me that. She said that they had not even recieved the part. Ken also told my son that Lazy Boy had to ship there parts within 48 hours, that was a big lie or the parts were not ordered on Monday. like she said they were. Come Thursday I called back to check on the chair and she told me she still had not recieved the part. She told me she would call Lazy boy and check on the part. She did not call me back, I had to call her, she said they told her they were shipping the part that day and would be 2 day shipping. She said they would get the part Monday and fix the chair. I called them again Monday afternoon about 4:30. She told me again they had not recieved the part and she had not call and checked on it. She stated she would call and check on the part, she did call me back this time and told me Lazy boy did not ship the part until Monday and they would get it Tuesday. She stated they would work on it Tuesday and finish it Wednesday morning. I had my son call Wednesday morning, to make arragements to pick up the chair. He called me because they had not even started to work on the chair. I call that really rude lady again, and all she could say was you can just come and pick up you chair. I told her why would I pick up a chair that you have had almost 3 weeks and have not repaired. I had to go to my fathers and mothers that day so I missed a call from Mr. Personnallity himself telling me I could pick my chair up Thursday morning at 10:00. My son picked up the chair and I made another 3 hour trip to my parents home to deliever a broke chair. Yes, a broke chair. I called the owner, and talked to him about the chair. The chair has glue all over it, there is now a missing leg and the chair no longer reclines. He told me the leg was missing when my son dropped the chair off, that they did not get the glue on the chair and Lazy Boy changed my chair to just a regular lift chair. Why would any one change a customers chair without first caling the customer. The chair is only three and a half years old and we paid $1400 for the chair. My son said he gave them the leg, it had come off but Ken took the leg, and now why would I put glue on my parents chair? If you take anything to Brockington Uphostery, do not say I did not warn you first. Horrible service, they do not do timely service and they do not fix it right.
