After looking at several child care facilities we first enrolled our son into a montessori school when he was about 20 mos. It was horrible both for me and for him. They were unorganized and had so many kids in the same room that when I would go pick him up they always had to look for him which was extremely disturbing to me. He screamed and cried everyday I dropped him off and it broke my heart. Right then I knew something wasn't right. When we took him out we put him in Shoreline ICC and were very pleased for the following reasons: -He actually looked forward to going to school -teachers are encouraging (and comforting to the children when they are upset) -only 1 teacher per classroom (usually, unless they also have a teacher's aid) -small classes -they have curriculum that they go by each week - monthly email updates of school events and activities - most reasonably priced compared to most other schools -flexible schedules for full or part time -catered lunch and provided snacks
