We purchased a kitchen table and 4 chairs because the style was nice and it was on sale at a very reasonable price. However I have NEVER brought WORSE furniture than this. One chair was defective as were assembling it and I called the store and they gave me such a hassle to even exchange it and told me then even without me asking that there is a restocking fee to even return it right away. Then another chair broke after 6 months (being wobbly even before and we avoided sitting on it as much as possible) and then another chair broke after 8 months hurting the person who was sitting on it. The wood it very light and just snaps. The table itself is ok since it is standing but the paint started chipping after 5 months and we cover it with a table cloth.
I have brought many different dining sets and had a good one before from Living Spaces and even Ikea furniture that is in same price range and have never had chairs as bad as these. We never stood on the chairs or put any at over 200lb on them since they were so fragile from the beginning. I used to stand on my wooden Ikea chairs and used them for 5 years before selling them and never had any issues.
I sent a complaint and got no response and then went in the store with the chair and complained and my only answer was that they will call corporate and told "what do you expect for such inexpensive chairs". And corporate said they have no warranty and will not fix or replace chairs.
These chairs are dangerous as you can fall and hurt yourself and obviously no savings at all if you have to replace them less than a year later.
