Review content:
Tom Merritt comes off as a really nice guy until he hears something that he does not like. I am currently renting from him and he has been nothing but nasty. He told us that the property we were looking to rent was in a safe neighborhood. One our first two nights there we had helicopters over-head and the police barricaded off our street and searched our backyard. We asked Merrit if we could nullify the lease after being there for a few days because we did not feel safe with the constant gun shots behind our house every night and instead of talking with us he just sent us an eviction notice for unauthorized animals that he had given me verbal permission for. If you make him upset he will try to make your rental experience with him miserable. I have my animals for theraputic reasons (I have a doctors note explaining why I have them) and he is telling me I can only keep one of my animals. He feels I should get rid of the rest that he had given me permission for. Also, get any and every thing from him in writing because he will deny it and accuse you of lying. I would not reccommend anyone to rent from him.
