My apartment is a constant 65 degrees in the winter, I use florescent lights, and own NO expensive TV or stereo equipment, yet my electric bill is $300/month for 900 square feet!!!! The wall insulation is VERY bad and the windows radiate cold during the winter (paper thin). My appliances are very old, so no telling how much electricity my always running refrigerator uses. I was promised new appliances a long time ago. They never came. And of course the office is like "Everyone's bill is high this month". Sorry, but my kilowatts per hour usage are about 3 times as much as my old apartment last year, and that one was larger. Whatever price they quote you per month, make sure you add about 200 per month because of the extra electricity you WILL pay. You will save more in the long run if you accept a higher rent at another place. Man am I glad I'm moving out soon.
