Went to see Simon about a month ago looking for ""a new haircut"" when I went in to talk to him, I was probably the WORST client ever! I didn't know if I wanted to grow it or cut it, dye it or streak it, curl it or straighten it. Simon spent 20 minutes talking to me and we finally came to the agreement that I had no clue what I wanted! He was so nice and told me what he thought would look nice on me. In the end, we decided that I needed to think about it a little bit more. \r
\r
I went back to see him on 11/29 and he even remembered me! He actually looked at my hair, brushed it, touched it etc before he sent me to the wash. Watching Simon cut my hair was like watching an artist at work. He's so great! Plus, he's funny, personable and just makes the whole experience great.\r
Here was my favorite part...He actually walked me through the styling step by step. No hairdresser in this city has ever done that for me! He showed me how much product, how to hold the blowdryer etc. I felt like I was on cloud 9 when I left the salon. \r
\r
When I showered and styled my own hair today it was easier than my hair has ever been! He really created a look for me that is not only beautiful and totally fits my character but it also works with what my hair naturally wants to do! I have always HATED my hair and for once I love it!\r
\r
Not to mention, the salon is beautiful, the staff is amazingly friendly and warm. The prices were very reasonable and I didn't get any of that snooty attitude so many ny salons have.\r
\r
Simon, you are amazing! I love you, and will never need to look for a new hairdresser! \r

A+++++++\r

UPDATE: went back today 3/22 (almost 3 months since my last appointment. Simon remembered me and how my hair reacts to products and blowdrying. He's amazing. I left with another PERFECT haircut at a price that you can't beat in NYC. In Simon, I've finally found the stylist of my dreams!
Pros: Friendly staff, great haircut, reasonable prices, not pushy
Cons: The building is a bit sketchy, but their space is gorgeous!
