Review content:
Our son attended WHEE preschool starting at 3 years for two years. He now is in K in an academically rigorous charter school and is doing very well. I chose this preschool after visiting a dozen as it was the best fit, right from the start my son took to it, it has a wonderful vibe, the staff are happy and dedicated, staff turnover is extremely low, and the program is well-thought out. For both years our son always looked forward to going to preschool. When I dropped him off he would eagerly run into his classroom. When I picked him up after lunch bunch he was ready to come home. The staff do an extraordinary job and the principal manages to make every dollar of this non-profit go towards creating a top-notch preschool. If you are looking for an academic preschool that will prepare your child for kindergarten so that your child will be bored in K for the first six months, this is not the place for you. As a culture we tend to overschedule our young children and not give them the downtime they need. WHEE gives each child plenty of space to grow at its most comfortable rate. If you value play and agree that children learn best through play, you have found your preschool. Pros: dedicated staff, strong community, involved and caring parents
