Review content:
Got to Mobays, 15 minutes early for 6:00 reservation. Tour group had completely occupied the entire restaurant. Bar full as well. Tour bus late picking group up. Stood at bar to wait. Watched ESPN in HD. Seated around 6:15/20. Still not bad. Staff friendly - kept asking us if we were doing okay - appreciated that. Once seated, service was great. Drinks, appetizers and food served promptly. Drinks were excellent. Real easy going down. Had the tropical martini. Nice. Wasn't crazy about the cornbread, but others enjoyed it. For appetizers we had cod fish cakes, sweet plaintains and barbecue chicken wings. The cod fish cakes and plaintains were excellent. The cakes were firm, not too salty and wonderfully flavored. The plaintains were perfect. Not overly sweet and blended well with the flavor of the codfish. Wasn't crazy about the barbecue wings. They were the last appetizer to go. Had St. Louis ribs, mac and cheese, greens and table shared yams. Ribs, large - a huge portion. Good texture to the meat, but too spicy for my taste, as were the greens, just a little too much kick. Enjoyed mac and cheese (just enough cheese) and yams (perfectly sweet). Overall, a good experience. If we went again I would avoid the barbecue, it just isn't for me. But overall, a very good experience.
Pros: Great Drinks, Good Atmosphere
Cons: Tiny Bar, Wait to be Seated
