I did the Santa Monica tour. I came in with high expectations and I was not disappointed. Therese was GREAT - besides being personable she really did a fantastic tour. A local who knows her city.
There was MORE than enough food and every stop was different.: Bakery, Tea house, Wine tasting, Border's Grill, Deli and Gelato. We all live in our own little communities - how much do we really know about our neighboring cities? L.A. is so diverse and these tours are an incredible way to explore our diverse city. This would be ideal for the out of towner's looking to ""do LA."" - my Dad is coming to town next weekend and he wanted me to plan something for us to do on Sunday. Hmmm, what can I plan that is just a bit different (and will take half a day)? I booked the Six Taste Hollywood tour - I think he'll enjoy it!
The interesting thing was that everyone on the tour lived somewhere in LA. I will absolutely go back to every place we visited (a few I already know well - Border Grill / Tudor House).
If you live in LA or are visiting LA and have never really explored, or don't know where to start exploring Six Taste offers some great choices - Little Tokyo - Downtown LA, Thai Town, Dumpling Tour, Santa Monica and Hollywood - I really want to try them all - then the next time guests come to visit I can go somewhere besides Venice Beach......I'm looking forward to the Hollywood tour.
