and this is not it! I can t wait to close on a new home we just purchased and get out of here! This was our first time living in apartments. We did our research and read comments online about apartments. We concluded that all apartments are alike with their issues and we chose this one, because it was the nicest looking one for the price. However, there was one aspect we didn t research fully. We have two kids and didn t look at the s3x offender registry. There are TEN registered s3x offenders in a ONE MILE radius. That is scary and I m so glad we checked that out before we bought our new place. That is a lot compared to some other areas. Since we never dealt with insect infestations before, we didn t know what to look for. On the first night of getting the keys to our apartment before we moved anything in, my husband sat up against the wall and I noticed a very small insect crawling up the wall. We thought it was a one time thing, because the patio door and windows had been left open by the maintenance. Little did we know it was a huge infestation of carpet beetles. After several attempts of trying to get the unit sprayed, it finally happened about two months later. These apartments are not sound proof. It was pure hell when we got upstairs neighbors. We heard kids running around and jumping, dog barking almost 24/7, talking, laughing, their toilet flush, when they took a shower or washed clothes and their toys ended up in our balcony. Granted we have kids and let it go most of time, but we teach our kids manners and they aren t making noise late at night. I think the office staff started not to like us when we wanted the unit sprayed, but they really gave us the cold shoulder when we would complain about the noise. We wouldn t complain about everything, but when there was noise for over an hour, something needs to be done. There is a lot of vandalism that happens here. I was sitting in the club house and overheard three men talking about it. They were going around the place to figure out where to install security cameras. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid, but now with the lower rates it could be if we lived in an upper unit. Pros: New property Cons: EVERYTHING wrong that could happen, happens here!
