Review content:
Traditionally, Cracker Barrels are among the most reliable of restaurant 'chains' for good food, reasonable prices, friendly service, and homey atmosphere. Unfortunately, we've had two less-than-ideal experiences at Cracker Barrel, and they were BOTH at the Denver, CO location. The first unpleasant experience occurred when we were eating at a table fairly near the kitchen door. There was some kind of disagreement going on between kitchen staff, and the VERY loud yelling back and forth throughout or meal created an uncomfortable atmosphere- to say the least. Also, some of our food came out cold. Both of these negatives were firsts for Cracker Barrels, in our experiences of eating our way across America at Cracker Barrels on several occasions. When we mentioned both problems to the manager, he comped our two dinners AND gave us a free pie, so we left smiling in spite of the bad manners of the kitchen staff.
Pros: Almost always great service, food, and value nationwide
Cons: Two bad experiences, both in Denver
