Review content:
Well, there I was looking for an Engagement Ring. My first idea was to go to the mall jewelry stores, for a starting point. It went to the usual places first, Zales, Macy's, Kay Jewelers and the independent stores. Seeing that all their prices were pretty close, I decided to do some research online. What most people don't realize is that while the supposedly independent stores and chains in malls are competing against each other; they are actually usually owned by the same people, and they base their prices off the major chains.
So, next I hit the internet. The large online sites were really no better than mall shops. There were some smaller sites, but they didn't seem to stable. Then I hit upon Shenoa... shenoadiamonds . Nice site, good prices, lots to choose from... I said to myself ""There's got to a catch"". I found a ring I liked, but wanted a slightly large diamond, so I decided to call. I prepared myself for the hard sell (I thought it would be like a car dealership). The service agent was very courteous, gave me lots of information, and looked up the best price for the type of diamond I wanted. When I said let me think about it, they said ""Okay, have a nice day."" No last minute pleading, no ""let me have your phone number""... Just ""have a nice day.""
The next day, I called back to purchase the diamond, they had all my item information. They told me I could come see it if I wanted to (surprisingly they are on 47th street in Manhattan, the diamond district, and a place I associate with used car sales man tactics). I just had it shipped to me , there is no tax, and I get a 30day return period. Got the ring, and it's just what I wanted. Had it appraised and it's exactly what they said it would be (I was a bit surprised myself). So, I was so impressed I had to tell someone.
Pros: Great Service, Large Selection, Lowest Price I could Find
