I recently visited Campioni's after a 15-year hiatus and found an expanded resaurant with a larger menu and the owners looking a bit older. I had a pizza and a salad and they were both delicious. Don't you just love non-chain non-formulaic restaurants with friendly, but not robotic service? ""Il Campionissimo"" of Italy, Fausto Coppi would be proud of this establishment! I'll be back before another 15 years pass. Nice lunch atmosphere consisting of neighbors and business folks. There are not enough well-run places like this one since the Wall Street crowd has taken over the hospitality and restaurant businesses.
Pros: great chow, friendly service, decent prices
Cons: tucked away off of FM 1960 although it has signage
