I had a lot of work on my house that I have been putting off for a while, so I finally decided to get someone to do it. Jason Flippo came to my house to do my estimate, and he listened to my thoughts and had a lot of good suggestions. I liked Jason from our first meeting, and felt confident that his team would listen to my concerns and do a good job. He had an estimate ready the following day. We met later to finalize a written contract detailing all the work that was to be done which included granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, new kitchen sink and faucet, kitchen cabinet refacing (new doors and drawers), tile backsplash in kitchen, recessed lighting in kitchen, tile floor installation, new 3 inch baseboards, scraping popcorn off ceiling, re-texturizing and painting of ceiling, painting the walls, new bathtub installation with new tile surround, new lighting in bathroom, new sink, and new plumbing fixtures for bathroom sink and tub/shower combo.
I was assigned a project coordinator named Linda who was my point of contact and was in charge of scheduling all the work to be done at my house. As the work went along, we did make some additions to the original contract. She was extremely responsive in answering all my questions, getting the new quotes back to me, and updating the contract in writing.
At any point a different team of professionals was at my house working on a different aspect of the project. The painting team arrived first to scrape the popcorn off my ceiling, re-texturize, and re-paint. They were later followed by an electrician, plumbers, tile layers, carpenters, and a granite specialist. I was glad to know that each part of the job was being done by specialists. While the painters were working on the ceiling, I was working on picking out my paint colors, floor tiles, backsplash design, granite, plumbing fixtures, cabinet stain, etc. I was overwhelmed, and Jason met me at the tile store to help with the design of the remodel of kitchen and bathroom.
The team was extremely efficient and well-scheduled. The project took about a month to complete, and there was only one day where someone was not working on my house.
Overall, I was very happy with the quality of work.
After everything was done, I realized that my dishwasher was not attached to the counter like it had been before. I called them and they came out to assess the situation. It took a few days, but it was fixed.
I have had a couple of other minor issues, and they have been very responsive to come out and fix everything that I have called about.
I felt like I could have had this work done for less money, but I paid more for quality workmanship, responsiveness, and customer service.
