PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take my advice and never ever, ever consider using All My Sons Moving in Broadview, Illinois. Here comes the nightmare: I was given a window of 12-2 on a Friday afternoon. At 3, I called and was informed that the men were switching trucks and should be at our condo by 4:15. I called again and was told by a dispatcher in Dallas that they should be there soon. Then 5:15, nothing. Finally I am looking out the window and see the truck at 6:05PM. I run down to the loading dock to meet them and the nightmare began. The driver pulled up and was licking an ice cream cone and all three men where under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. I have training in substance detection and these guys were off the charts! The driver had quarter sized pupils and was grinding his jaw. One of the men was laying on the locking dock while the 3rd mover was singing. They could not maintain their balance and were out of control. I mentioned that they might not be up to the task of moving all my prized and sentimental life accumulations. The head guy slurred "why not?" I then called the home office and they were closed. They gave me a number to "the guy on duty" and he proceeded to cuss me out and tell me that the men were fine and that if I refused the drunk service of All My Sons at this time and date, he could not guarentee the return of my items. Then he told me to put my *ucking wife on the phone so he could talk to her. I said she was busy and he yelled into the phone "put her on the *ucking phone!" I hung up and he called back like a maniac and was asking why the hell I hung up on him. Then the grinding jaw driver wanted my credit card and wanted payment before they moved any items. I was in a position with no clear answer. I wanted to turn the drunk crew away, but not with all my possessions. I was trapped and allowed the move. I did half the work. They were throwing boxes in the place and they kept talking about wanting a beer. BEWARE! Pros: ZERO Cons: workers under the influence of alcohol and narcotics
