In the microcosmic Celebration-Florida-esque faux-real-world college community that is Madison, Wisconsin, the Pub is known as a "dive bar". Having been in bars much shittier than this one, I can say that's pretty far from the truth. However, it is a little rough around the edges compared to other State Street bars. It's worth it though, for air hockey (when the table's not broken, i.e. about 35% of the time) and free popcorn.
