Beacon Rock requires a short but very steep hike to appreciate its beauty. We took a group of teenagers to the top and a few had to turn back part way up, so make sure you have the legs for this trek. Once at the top the views of the Gorge are spectacular and in the spring the wildflower carpet is breathtaking. It is a free park, but parking will cost you $5.
