I had been bringing my car here periodically but apparently in the past year, the entire staff including mechanics and management has changed. I do not recognize anyone that has assisted me and been helpful in the past. I brought my car to have a starter changed. I was told to return the next day by 10am. Since I had to leave work to pick it up, I called ahead that morning to confirm that the car would be ready. I was told that it was ready. When I arrived they made me wait 90 minutes - they told me the wait was so that they could ensure that the work was done to standards. I drove the car back to work and returned to work. At the end of the day, I could not start the car to leave. It turns out that Pep Boys installed a faulty starter into my car. I had the car towed to Pep Boys that evening and it took them another 24 hours to install a new starter. I was met with no apology or even an approach to explain to me why I was made to wait over an hour and a half the first day "to ensure that the work was done to standards". I dealt only with attitude from the Management. Subsequently, I have spoken to over six people who have run into similar situations with their vehicles which indicates incompetent workmanship. I DO NOT recommend Pep Boys and wish no one to go through what I had to. more
