We took a trip this summer to dig Crystlas at Crystal Grove Campsite. They have 3 open pit digging sites and were happy to explain which one was having the best luck finding nice crystals. The pits surround an excellent picnic area and the are close to the bathrooms. We spent about $45 for 4 of us for the day and that included all the tools you would need to break open the rocks. Many of the nicer crystals were just laing ontop of the huge dirt pile they had int he center of one of the mines. The kids had a great time that day.
