I used to have problems with something called a trigger thumb. It is similar to carpal tunnel syndrome but occurs in the thumb instead of the wrist. I used to get a cortisone injection when my thumb became painful and froze up. However, I finally had surgery to correct the problem. After the operation, I went to The Hand Rehabilitation Center for help to recover. The folks there are great and I believe my recovery was speedier and less painful due to their help.
