Holistic Medicine
Holistic Medicine is a methodology and it is also a philosophy. The unifying principle is that "Consideration of all aspects of an individual's life and employing all of the practitioner's senses" is paramount in discovering the underlying dysfunction. Treatment is often a fusion of conventional and alternative medicine. When a holistic physician sees a patient, in addition to providing a comprehensive physical examination, he/she wants to find out all about a patients behavior, medical and dietary history, environment, emotional stressors (family, job, school, grief etc.), and other aspects of the persons life.
