Having been spoiled in my life by some outstanding Italian-American food in Little Italy, New York, and in Toronto, I'm generally disappointed by Italian-inspired cuisine in Seattle. Serafina, however, rocked my socks.
Even for vegetarians, there are several options. Try the pesto gnocchi or spinach and ricotta dumplings. The wine selection is fantastic. The wait staff is attentive. The jazz band didn't really play jazz music, per se, but they were good at what they were playing.
Eastside professionals and Queen Anne yuppies congregate here for work parties and first dates. Still, as the lesbian couple from Capitol Hill, we didn't feel out of place.
