Stone Mountain is a fantastic place to go for a day. The kids love the train ride around the mountain. There is a nice little village of shops to look around too and a kids play area which you do have to have a ticket for. To get to the top of the mountain you have two fun choices, hike your way up or take a ride in the gondola. Out of town visitors enjoy the museums and antebellum plantation houses in the park too. You could really spend a whole weekend there. The laser light show and fireworks displays in the summer are something to look forward to also!
