I had a late dinner with my friend Greg. Sazerac is across the street from the W Hotel where I'm staying. We walked in, got a table (it was pretty empty for 8pm on a Thursday night.) The service was prompt and good. I started out with hushpuppies and molasses - classic comfort food - which was yummy. My main course was a super creamy ravioli dish of some sort with backed bread crumbs on top. I was worn out after about three bits - it was just way too cheesy / creamy. I also had a side of red beans and rice which were good, but not great.
I was expecting a lot more and was disappointed. The ambience was fine, the meal was fine, but it was just "fine".
