I saw my parents for the first time in 9 years a few months back for my grandmother's funeral. They were aloof but cordial. The most personal question they chose to ask me during the four days I spent with our extended family was ""how is your steak tonight."" 9 years of cutting us off and the discussion stayed on the weather, food, and their dog. \r

Four months have gone by and they have not contacted any of us. So the shunning continues. \r

Maybe someday they will come back to us, but until then two things that should be carved above lclc 1) Wherever there is Legalism there also is Hypocrisy 2) ""Fanaticism and Ignorance is forever busy and NEEDS feeding."" \r
