One of the few retail stores in the greater Scottsdale/Tempe/Mesa area that actually stocks and sells the highly regarded Brave Soldier product line, which is what led me to visit this shoppe. Cyclists, athletes and tradespeople should make note of that fact as the product line is rather difficult to find on a local, walk-in basis out here.
Co-owners Angie and Mary Lou are clearly enigmas in this day and age of increasingly stressed-out and brusque retail store owners and sales help. They're refreshingly cheerful, smiling, attentive, pleasant, engaging and eager to be of help. Neither lady is afraid or reluctant to make eye contact and actually converse with customers as they help.
The store itself is an interesting melange of clothing, jewelry, curio, bric a brac, tchotchkes, home decor and good old fashioned kitsch that is sure to delight even the most persnickety of browsers. It's located in a large, easy to access shopping plaza on Warner with plenty of parking that's convenient to both Loop 101 and McClintock.
