terrible, unreliable counting methods 12/7/2010

HORRIBLE. Every dealing with this company has been troubled. Their UNRELIABLE counting method has failed twice in a row (out of four weeks service) and basically, it's our word against theirs. We've been customers for 4 deliveries. Each week, we have returned the entire amount of soiled diapers. In other words, there are ZERO diapers in our house before the next delivery. However, after our second week, ABC has claimed that we returned 4 less, and they only brought four less than our account. I called and explained I was absolutely certain that we had returned every single diaper. (It is hard to miscount when there are no diapers to miscount. Also, I am extremely organized and do not misplace things.) The person I spoke with, Rena, explained their policy, but agreed to send the full amount of diapers with the next delivery. The next delivery, they did not send the full amount, as promised, but sent fewer than our full amount. Despite our having returned ALL diapers each week of service. This time I called and spoke with Karen, who was rude and abrupt to me, and simply repeated the company policy (to deliver as many diapers as our returned). I explained again that we had returned the full amount (which I know to be true, b/c not only do we have slightly fewer than we need--on purpose--but also b/c we had been doubling them up and had run out early. In addition, it took ABC until almost noon to get our delivery to us, so we were out of diapers for a long time.) Karen denied that ABC had promised to bring the full amount the previous week, and when I could not remember the person's name (I suggested Ronnie, or Renee), she denied that anyone with that name worked there (such as Rena, who I had spoken with). She seemed purposely unhelpful and repeated only the company policy. She also said, ""You must have had at least one diaper on the baby, so you couldn't have returned them all."" This comment gives me insight into their counting method... I reminded her that disposable diapers do exist and that we use them periodically (for example, at nights to prevent blow-out disasters, or mornings when the delivery service doesn't deliver until half the day has gone by). If I could cancel this service today, I would. Unfortunately, it was a gift certificate and I am afraid we're stuck with their crappy customer service and UNRELIABLE COUNTING METHOD for six months. As a side note, setting up the gift certificate was a horrible, involved and painful process as well, but that is another review. With my older child, I used Tiny Tots with no problems for two years. I wish we had kept our business with them. more
