I really wish I had looked at this site before contacting them. Live and learn, I guess. I thought it was a little strange when right from the start, the guy basically did a little commercial for the company after greeting me. He also mentioned why plumbing prices are the highest of the home services and listed the justifications for that. That should have been a big red flag. Then, before doing the job, you have to sign in about a million places all over the paperwork ... agreeing to this ... waiving your right to that, etc. They also do kind of a hard sell on you. I take responsibilty for being so stupid to let them do the job, but it's been years since I've had any plumbing work done, so I didn't have a feel for pricing. I should have gone with my gut feeling. Why was it a rip off? They charged me $372 to change an outdoor faucet, and that was a DISCOUNT. It took him probably 45 minutes to do the job. He originally quoted me $452, but got it reduced when I started talking about getting another estimate. While in the basement, he took it upon himself to check out my water heater and write up an estimate to replace that ($1858 for a 50 gal. unit). I have no idea what those cost these days, but when the time comes to replace it, you can bet I'll do some research. I've learned my lesson the hard way.
