In my experience and the experience of some friends, their kids were treated horribly and the coaches try to humiliate the kids, in fact, they pride themselves on acting like drill sargeants and being inappropriate and disrespectful. They may teach your child how to fence but it is done in a most downgrading way - if you care about your child learning the correct appropriate behavior do not send your child to the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia.
