I rarely venture to midtown in hopes to find truly excellent meal, especially directly by Time Square, however China Grill has proven that they can provide great food and great service even in a touristy area. A few friends and I went to China Grill for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. This was our first time there, but it was recommended by a friend for large groups so we thought we'd try it out. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately with our table (9 people) already set. Right away we were greeted by our waiter with a big smile. We all ordered some cocktails off their list (pear margarita is EXCELLENT!!). After looking at the menu we all placed our orders. The food is meant to share so it just kinda came out as it was ready. That was different but a very cool idea. We passed all the plates around a ate like a big family. It was great. The restaurant was busy but you would have never noticed with the service that we got. We never had to wait long for anything and then when we ordered dessert, it came out with a big ""Happy Birthday"" written on the plate and a candle. It was adorable!!!! We all had a blast and my boyfriend absolutely loved his birthday dinner. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone, hands down one of the more impressive and memorable restaurant experiences I have had in a while. Thanks you China Grill!!!!!
