I went to the Bonte Wafflerie today for brunch, mainly to try the Belgian waffles again. While the pre-made foccaccia sandwiches (ham and salami mixed together) were ok, the waffles were an unmitigated disaster - way way undercooked, with doughy raw interiors. I wrote the first cooking mishap off - attributing the undercooked mess to the many strawberries in the dough, but the second waffle - pecan - was again inedible even after we asked the teen-age girl working the counter to cook it again. It was returned the same underbaked, unpalatable way (we simply left it on the plate).
Pros: good selection of pastries, ample sandwiches
Cons: the main draw of Bonte - its Belgian waffles - are badly made
