Sofritos is the best thing that has happened to mid-town Manhattan in years, especially if you are looking for great food, music, a loungy atmosphere, good looking people, and a warm welcome. The food is hands down the best Puerto Rican Cuisine in Manhattan, and I have been to practially all of them! A few things that stand out are the Mofongo con Camarones, Fried Red Snapper, Roast Pork, Mussels in White Wine sauce, and the Pepper Steak! The specialty drinks are fantastic, especially the Passion Fruit Cosmo. I love this place and recommend you give it a try. They are busiest Friday and Saturday nights but if you don't want to deal with crowds, Monday thru Wednesday is perfect!
