I wish I'd read these reviews before hiring Distinctive Cleaning. I've used them for many months. Not everything was cleaned flawlessly every time, but they always fixed the problems when I asked, and when I ask for a new cleaning person, they gave me one. Their cleaning was good -- not great -- but good enough for me to recommend them to a couple people. The problems started on a major cleaning we asked them to do before we put our house on the market. They damaged walls and paint and barely touched our showers. I complained, and I got excuse after excuse. ""It's an old house, the paint was probably falling off"" was my favorite one. ""The shower was cleaned to the best of our ability. Even a supervisor couldn't get it cleaner."" I cleaned it myself and took before/after photos so they could understand why I was upset. The next cleaning, they completely forgot my mudroom. I complained, and not only did they say I was wrong, but made excuses about the cleaner slacking off because her mother was ill, etc. The customer service manager implied they might fire the cleaner. I paid them and asked for my key to be returned. Even that became a big thing, because I didn't want my house key stuck in an envelope and dropped in the mail with my home address on it. They couldn't understand why that was a security risk. Bottom line: if you hire them, expect a lot of excuses if anything goes wrong. They don't work with the assumption that the customer is always right. Pros: Usually do a decent job cleaning, cleaners are nice Cons: Terrible customer service, average in every other way more
