Decent little fresh-Mex place 8/27/2006

Just around the corner from the Loyola Marymount campus sits little Viva Fresh--a quaint little joint with an open-air patio and a few TVs tuned to sports or Spanish language television. A mural is painted across the side to add a little exotica to the small white building. \r \r The service is always snappy and, due to the nature of the food, it doesn't take too long to get your order.\r \r The menu reads like most at a little neighborhood Mexican place, but the concentration here is on fresh-Mex not authentic Mexican. Burritos are filling for fresh-Mex, without the rice filler you find at other places. Entrees come with tortilla chips and customers are able to take a trip to the salsa bar--which means you can grab a little more salsa to dip your burrito in later (if you're into that sort of thing). It isn't spectacular, but it's a good solid meal that won't leave you feeling too heavy.\r \r Pros: cheap, good fresh-Mex; a parking lot that's plenty big for such a small restaurant Cons: it's fresh-Mex (if you're an authentic Mexican fan this might be a bad thing) more
