I was very nervous about trying to have my hair highlighted again, since the last time I had it done my dark hair turned out orange (not to mention I paid a lot money for it). However, I am definitely a convert to Sharon Overstreet and her ability to place natural, soft highlights on very dark hair. My hair isn't quite black, but it's pretty close. Sharon met with me and discussed what she could do, asked me about what I wanted and what I didn't like about my previous highlights, and made suggestions on what we could do differently. We ended up going with 3 different colors so that the highlights looked more natural, and she used color instead of bleach and toner, which turns my hair to straw. I also like the fact that the color was placed so close to the root, which I previously thought was impossible. My hair looked great to begin with, I never had that color washing down the drain problem, and my hair still looks great, not to mention it doesn't look or feel processed even though I have full highlights. If you want great color, going with someone who just does color is your best bet.
