Although I do believe the Schwarz Castle is a beautiful structure don't miss out on some truly amazing houses in other parts of Columbus. Take a drive down Neil Ave in Victorian Village or Bryden Road in Olde Towne East. What is now the Mansion Day school on the corner of Woodland Ave and Long Street in the Woodland Park Community, just north of Franklin Park, is one of the most incredible homes in Columbus proper. This 10,000 square foot structure with original tile roof and copper gutters is truly unbelievable. While you are there take a drive north on Woodland and turn onto Hawthorne Park. This one block street boasts 11 century old custom built homes that average 4,000-7,000 square feet with unique architecture. (Don't forget nearby Bexley and it's Parkview Ave, a sight not to be missed)
Pros: nice architecture, Katzingers deli nearb
Cons: , more to see than this, other homes better
