Seattle Yellow Taxi/Cab has two companies within itself. BYG, which is the cab company 'it handles drivers and cars accounting etc' and Puget Sound Dispatch 'it handles dispatching the cabs and handling customer orders.'
I Once worked for them; first off as a call taker and then a Dispatcher. I must admit Puget Sound Dispatch does a poor job handling and fixing customer complaints and Servicing the Taxi Drivers and Customers.
The Real reason for this is a guy named Jim Omally is the head dispatcher and promotes utter rudeness to the customers and drivers. He as well hires the rudest and untrained individuals you would ever meet. Even working in the Puget Sound Dispatch center is unsafe, Anger Multiplies Anger. In the call center and in every cab. But Jim he does care 'get to the next call,' wether or not you were rude and cursing at the driver or customer. Puget Sound Dispatch as well does not do a good job punishing the drivers who did the customer wrong, a dispatcher could d-authorise a driver and make him unable to work, then the driver would simply call up the BYG Super and get re-authorised.
By Constantly being rude to the drivers and rude to the customers this creates an unsafe ride to the customer and drivers, the drivers don't trust or like their dispatchers nor does the dispatcher like or trust all drivers, call takers, and the customers often start this ride angry.
We all being adults know that anger will cause problems.
If you want a taxi/cab go elsewhere, even the small for hire companies will do. Seattle Yellow Cab being managed by PSD and Jim being employed all you will get is utter nonsense, anger, and possibly a very dangerous ride.
Infact i would rather walk for miles in the rain or snow then call Yellow cab, i remember how everybody does their thing there from call taker, super, customer, to driver.
