Do not listen to the negative reviews 11/5/2010

My wife and I enjoyed our experience here so much that we rated the quality of the food top 5 ever. Although we did not have a canal view and yes our table ""rocked"" a little the quality of the food was incredible. Listen if you stroll in to this place for dinner do not be conscious of the price or you already are setting your self up for disappointment. Take your winnings and treat yourself or limit your losses and do the same. We had the best tomatoe mozzarella salad EVER and enjoyed the ravioli that was so incredible I had the chef come out to tell him. He explained to me that the sauce was a special sauce originally prepared for the Pope....enough said. The negative reviews just are not representative of what this fine restaurant has to offer. Order a bottle of water, dress appropriate.....and leave your young snotty attitudes in the clubs or the casino. And also be sure to share this experience with someone you love. more

Great food, poor service 7/7/2010

I went here for lunch with a friend There was a flyer advertising for brunch or lunch specials, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant has a quiet, romantic European atmosphere. They seated us on the second floor, next to a window which had a nice view of the canal with gondolas passing by. There was a good selection of Italian dishes, but we opted to share a lunch special at $19 pp which included appetizer, main entree and dessert with coffee/tea. The service was initially attentive, but about a halfway through our meal it was nearly non-existent. We were looking for a waiter, but it was a very long wait and it was unclear who our main server was. Also, though they weren't rude, they weren't friendly either. Overall, I'd give this place two and a half stars. It would have been above-average if they had at least average service and prices. Nevertheless, after a long and noisy day at the casinos, it was still worth a visit. Pros: Great food and ambience Cons: Poor service and pricey more

All Good Things... 8/7/2009

Well...all good things must come to an end?? We hope not. Our first experience with Zeffirinos was about 2 years ago and the experience was amazing. Service, quality and atmosphere had us saying wow. We went back for a celebration about 2 years later and the economy has taken another victim. The restaurant was dead and the quality went down as well. The waiter was telling us they can't stay alive much longer and maintain the expectations with the lack of revenue...its a bad cycle to be in...fingers crossed that it gets back to the once fabulous place...excelled sea bass excellent soups excellent seafood and northern Italian everything...home made limoncello mmmmm Pros: atmosphere Cons: price and stiff waiters more

Burger King wanna be 7/13/2009

Was equal to a cheap, low end burger joint based on staff service. Interior is amazing in finishes, food is for tourists that dont know. They could get similar service and food at a local Burger King Pros: Interior of place fininished amazing Cons: Staff needs to be fired and replaced more

Snobby Service 5/31/2008

My wife and I ate there May 28, 2008. It was not good. The waiter was very condescending - what a snob! He gave us dirty looks when we ordered plain water and beer instead of wine. Then they brought me the wrong food. The food was good but the various snobby comments and the dirty looks from the waiter made it a very bad experience. Cons: snobby service more

Excellent Food! 4/22/2008

I just came back from Vegas today (4/21/08). I?m picky when it comes to food, especially Italian cuisine (I also consider myself an amateur chef). I lived in Italy for awhile, and I am somewhat snobbish when it comes to quality. This place is excellent! My father and I both had the fillet stuffed with foie gras (big enough for two), and the tomato & mozzarella salad for an appetizer. My fiancee had the linguini with lobster and shrimp, and my aunt had the sausage ravioli. Pros: ambiance, service, food Cons: a bit expensive more

Great atmosphere and food 4/7/2008

After playing tourist on the Gondola, we were looking for a place to have dinner. We saw Zeffirino's, liked the atmosphere, and decided to give it a try. It was a great dining experience. Nothing was lacking. You will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a cheap meal, keep walking because this is not the place. If your needs are good food, great atmosphere and service, eat here!!!!!!!! Pros: Atmosphere!!!! more

great experience 2/9/2008

My husband and I went to a wedding and ate here for the first time. We really enjoyed the food and the waiters were very attentive. Also the place is beautiful, great for pictures. It felt like being back in Italy. We hope to return sometime soon. more

great lunch bargain for $25 12/19/2007

My boyfriend and I were staying at Wynn and had eaten there every single meal, so we decided to walk to the Venetian to find something different for lunch. This meal ended up being the best meal of our four-day trip! (And we had eaten meals over $150.00) We decided on this restaurant because for less than $25, we could from a variety of yummy-looking three-course meals. My boyfriend ended up getting a delicious seafood ceviche (with LOTS of calamari and shrimp), braised chicken, and a trio sampling of their desserts with coffee. I ended up opting for just one dish instead of the three courses - lobster pasta. We could not stop raving about our dishes. Even the bread was out-of-this-world! We even ended up asking our very attentive and polite waiter what the name of one of the breads was called so we could order it at other restaurants. Also, this restaurant is the only one in the Venetian that has views of the canal and gondolas. I'm so glad I live relatively close to Las Vegas - my boyfriend and I have already vowed to come back to this restaurant every chance we get! Pros: awesome food, fantastic service, unbeatable bargain (for lunch, at least) Cons: nothing that I can think of! more

don't waste your money - pedestrian fare 9/29/2007

While the ambiance and service were excellent, the food was the typical pseudo Italian fare. Had the price not been so outrageous, it would have been tolerable at best. Let me clarify, I KNOW Italian food , and this was like a glorified Olive Garden. The food was by no means bad, it was just americanized and poor quality. When I pay $58 for an entree, I have a certain expectation, quality wise...I do not understand what the others like so much about it, maybe they have never had good Italian cuisine. My honest advice, go somewhere else like Sensi at the Bellagio, if you want to spend money AND get good food. I stay at the Venetian, and I LOVE their rooms, but this restaurant is def. a no no. Pros: service Cons: overpriced ""olive garden"" more

THE BEST 7/16/2007

My husband and I stayed 4 days at the Venetian what a fantastic Hotel but the Zeffirino's is my high light of the trip! more

Hard to believe 5/16/2007

Without a doubt THE WORST restaurant meal ever! I ordered the scallops and certainly expected an edible meal but.... they were swimming in clarified butter and sitting on a bed of pureed bitter peas. A little flower was thrown on top to disquise(?) how unapetizing they looked. I am not going to complain unless it is absolutely necessary however after one small bite it was impossible to imagine actually eating what was presented unless a gun was held to my head. Of course, I complained and sent it back but, the attitude of the wait staff was less than cordial. They offered to get me another entree but I would have been eating by myself and they never apologized. My companions, all 4 of them, felt their meals were adequate but not outstanding in any way. It was our first time and will certainly be our last. A free meal could not entice me to venture into that place again. It is curious how a restaurant of that stature and price level could possibly imagine serving such a horrible dish. Possibly a new chef from a local high school? more

Poor Service for Standard of Restaurant 4/18/2007

Myself and four other women had 8:30 p.m. reservations on April 14th. to celebrate a birthday. We arrived early and ordered one pre-dinner drink downstairs. We were informed that our table was ready and we had to pay for the drinks before being seated. While in the middle of paying, the hostess seated 2 people in my party and left the rest of us downstairs. No one bothered to seat the rest of us or direct us otherwise. I asked 4 employees if we could be seated and shown where the other 2 people were. Each employee informed us we would have to figure it out on our own and we could not be helped. When we complained, the staff was unapologetic and did nothing to rectify the matter. Next, one person in my party asked for bruschetta. The waiter corrected her enunciation 3 times and did not bring the bruschetta. When we asked, we were later informed that the chef could not be bothered with making bruschetta. How hard can it be to toast some bread and chop some tomatoes? This was ridiculously poor service for a restaurant of this supposedly high standard. They should be forced to reduce their prices to $6 per entree or less or start providing proper service. Pros: Ambience, location Cons: Poor service, mediocre food more

Horrible Service 3/15/2007

My husband and I were staying at the Venetian and we wanted to have dinner at a romantic Italian restaurant. We are not too familiar with nice restaurants so when we passed by Zefferino's it looked nice and we decided to go in. Bad idea! The hostess' were very pleasant, but once we got inside it all went down hill from there. After we sat down and ordered our drinks, we waited for about 15 minutes before anybody came over to take our order, and that was only after we asked if we could order. Once we got our food we were pretty much ignored for the rest of the night. Nobody came over to give us refills or ask how we were doing. However, the couple next to us received pretty prompt service. Once we were finished eating they collect our plates, but did not ask if we wanted dessert and never brought us our bill. We had to ask another waiter for our bill, because after he took our order our waiter never came back. Considering the type of restaurant and it's location we expected so much better. Pros: View of the canal shops Cons: Horrible service more

While good in the past, not good and not recommend any longer 2/2/2007

As a long time Las Vegas resident, I have had the opportunity to eat at this establishment many times. While in the past their food always inticed me to return, this is no longer true. I would not eat at or recommend this restaurant in the future. To give this establishment the benefit of the doubt, I returned the second time after a disappointing meal. The second visit was even more disappointing--the food was tasteless--I had tuna tartare and veal--both lacked interest. However, service was good as was the desert. However, for the price the latter does not justify a return visit. There are many other restaurants in Las Vegas, even in the immediate area, that are comparable in price but far exceed the quality of the food provided by Zeffirino's. Pros: ambience, service Cons: tasteless food more

extremely bad for dining 1/4/2007

This place was very terrible. It's the worst italian restaurant ever had. We booked reservation for 31 Dec 06 about 2 months with hoping that we would have a good seating. We saw nice atmosphere on the web and expected that the restaurant should be nice to spend time and money for new year. However, it was very bad experience and not worthed to dine at this restaurant. Everything was bad for this new year eve. It's extremely expensive with no reason. Cons: Horrible food and service. Purposive to rip off customer more
