The Wizard of wood flooring came out on a day that was convenient for me and helped me chose the exact floor and color I wanted. Mike was very helpful in getting me to understand the reason for everything they were doing and made me feel very confident in the strength and durability in my new floor. When it was finished it came out seamless. It wasn't as big of a headache as I expected and went smoothly. I am so happy with how it turned out. I highly suggest you give them a call more

I can't say enough good things about Wizard Of Wood. The on-site team led by Wayne was extremely professional and so great to work with as was Mike the owner who prepared the quote. The floors are beautiful and this team takes pride in perfection. When I asked for a third coat of finish they didn't even hesitate and came immediately to do that for me. I would definitely recommend this company and ask for Wayne and his team to do the work! more

We had Mike and his crew came out to a house we had just purchased. They removed the old carpeting and refinished the existing floors. After they had removed the old carpeting we were very disappointed with the condition of the floors. Mike assured us that everything would look great, his only concern was an area that had a very dark stain on it. After they sanded that section they only had to replace a few boards at a very reasonable cost. We were shocked at how great the floors looked after they were done. The floors turned out like brand new. I cannot even tell where the new boards that were installed are. They truly are wizards.\r more

Read online reviews of the Wizard of Wood Floors and was impressed. From the moment we spoke with Mike Galloway, the owner, we know we were hiring the right contractor. He was prompt with our appointments and honest with the best method of refinishing our floor. Fred and his co-worker, who did the actual work, were clean and organized. We used the Bona Dust Containment System and their hanging of the plastic to contain the small amount of dust that did result was excellent. Fred always kept us informed of his daily progress and notified us if they were running late each day. The floor was completed in the designated time. We are very pleased with our floor and will recommend the Wizard to our friends. more

I enjoyed working with these guys. They were prompt and thorough. When\r they saw that my original stain color had faded & yellowed over the years,\r they mixed a custom color of stain to match as closely (since we weren't\r refinishing the stairs) as possible. The work was done quickly and\r beautifully. We had done the refinishing on the first floor ourselves, and\r had the 2nd floor done professionally approximately 4 years ago. However,\r our tenant severely gouged the floor upstairs. WoWF made the nearly 100 yr.\r old floors look like new! Beautiful, smooth, even staining, etc. more

We can't say enough about the way this company has treated us from the original job and the additional project. My wife and I are so happy with our floors the comments from visitors are AMAZING. The hardwood floors was the best choice we could make. My wife hasn't stopped talking about how polite the two men who worked here. Michael and his team are spot on in every aspect of their business that I utilized. Beyond that, their pricing and responsiveness were excellent. They even cut in a new board into a space between two rooms where there used to be an unsightly transition. I love my refinished floor, and visitors to my home comment on it frequently. I will use their services in the future if I decide to have wood flooring installed in some of my bedrooms. more

Mike is truly a Wizard of Wood Floors. His team performed a great job on the new wood floor. It matches the existing floor very well which is not easy to do. I love my new office floor. In addition, the team revived my existing 20 year old wood floors in the kitchen and foyer. They look almost new. I am very pleased with the Wizard of Wood Floors team. They really know a lot about wood floors, were very professional, cleaned up, and were on time. I would certainly use them again and highly recommend them to others seeking work for wood flooring. more

Mike came out to give me an estimate to refinish our wood floors. Well after dragging my feet we finally did it. The crew was very nice and did a fantastic job. We are very happy with the results of the water based coating. They really worked hard to get us back into our home as soon as possible. I have three kids and a dog so it was tough living out of a motel. I would definitely recommend them. The job went very smoothly and the guys went out of their way to refinish our wood floors in as little time as possible. The second morning they arrived at 6 am to put two more coats of sealant on so we could get back in the house that night. Very pleased with the whole process. more

Good Floors! 5/12/2012

Michael had a crew out to sand and refinish our kitchen/laundry room hardwood floors. We had 3 coats of finish applied, as the kitchen is a high traffic area, and my experience is that it protects the floors better. We were able to get an estimate from Michael in a timely manner, it took a bit of follow-up to get us scheduled, but the work went as planned and in the time stated. The guys doing the work were great; they obviously knew their trade well, worked efficiently and the floors look wonderful. I was very pleased with the work, would definitely hire them again. Would probably ask for Wayne to come back, if possible; he really knew what he was doing. They used a Swedish varnish on the floors, in my opinion, it's the best finish available; we had a different finish in our family room, and it has not held up nearly as well. I let them work in my house while I was at work and I felt comfortable with them. One of the workers who I met, a young man, was very helpful and did a nice job. Fantastic experience from start to finish. I spoke to Mike Galloway multiple times over the phone and was comfortable enough to leave him the keys to the house while I was away. Best all around 3/3/2012

We have a Historic house and a century old custom floor. We removed a wall in our house and we needed someone to patch the floor. We called a few flooring companies, they came out looked at our floor and said they could not match the old floor and they wanted to sell us a whole new floor. I was explaining our dilemma to a friend of mine and she suggested that we call the Wizard of Wood flooring. Mike promptly came to our house and explained the he could custom make the new floor to match the old floor. I told him that all the other floor contractors said it could not be matched. He assured me that after he patched the floor we would not be able to tell which was new or old. It took him a few weeks to get what he needed and then he got started on our floor. He was correct after he was done no one would be able to tell the floor was patched. He is truly a Wizard. He did our project at a fraction of the cost that the other floor companies wanted to install a new floor. We are so happy and pleased. Excellent Job! 12/21/2011

We hired the Wizard of wood to refinish our floors. From the moment they came out we were very impressed with their company. Mike did our estimate and his knowledge of the flooring business was amazing. He explained all the different finishes available/. He also explained the difference in the way a floor is sanded that will determine how long a finish will last. He also explained the difference in the new dust containment system verses the old dust less system. We chose the Bona Traffic finish and the Dust containment system. Our old beat up floors now look gorgeous! They look better than the day they were first installed. They did a terrific job and with the dust containment system there was very little dust afterwards. The gentleman that worked on the floors, Wayne and Mike were so polite and great craftsman. It was refreshing in this day and age to find people who take pride in their work. They fixed my floors 12/4/2011

We had another floor company refinish our floors. After a few months the finish started to chip and peel off. We tried to contact that company to have them fix our floors only to find out that they have left the country. We were referred to the Wizard of Wood floors by our neighbor. Mike came out and explained to us that the other company did not prepare the floor properly and the finish coats were not adhering to the stain. He explained that they would have to sand off the bad finish and re-stain the floor and reapply the new finish. Wow what a big difference After they applied the new stain. They did a much better job sanding the floor than the other company did. The stain was more even and was not cloudy like it was before. After they applied the finish I took a knife and tried to scratch the floor to peel or chip the finish. I was unable to. I wish we had used Wizard of wood floors the first time it would have saved us a lot of time and money. Pros: null Cons: null more

GREAT JOB 10/8/2011

The Wizard and his crew removed our old floor and installed a new floor in our living room and dining room. They laced the floor into the old wood floor and refinished them. They installed a border in the dining room with French knots and it is spectacular. The floors are absolutely gorgeous. They used the new Bona low dust system and I was amazed at how little dust more

Wizard of wood flooring was a positive experience overall. Even though they did not have the wood I wanted in stock, they were willing to order the wood from another supplier just so my wood floors would be in tip top shape for thanksgiving. The process was very speedy but they did a very good job. I will now recommend them to all my friends. more
