Best

One of the best ATL has to offer. Ive been here on romantic dates to blow out birthday bashes. The food is great, beautiful atmosphere and the service is awesome too.

Worst

I've been there twice in the last month and struggled to find anything here worth trying again until things change. Two weeks ago my wife and I were at Wisteria and couldn't agree...

Love it 11/20/2006

Head to wisteria for consistently good food in a warm and beautiful atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and it's a great place for a date or for a group. more

Great Everything! 10/7/2006

Went there for my anniversary and it was great! We love to eat out and are very selective when we do. This has made it into our top 5 in atlanta. Great service, great wine list(harder to find these days), and great food! Must try the Skate wing!!!! Nice and relaxed atmosphere. It is what a restaurant should be, a mini vacation to enlighten the taste buds and enjoy your surroundings. A++++ more

Quaint Restaurant Big Taste 8/20/2006

I visited Wisteria on 8/19/2006 on a date. We requested a private table and we got just that. We were in a nice cozy corner of the restaurant. The wait staff were very attentive and we did not want for anything. The food both the appetizers has well as the entree's were very good and innovative. The atmosphere was very romantic. So much so that the couple at the table in front of ours got engaged that night. We will be back. Pros: Parking, Waitstaff, Food Cons: Location more

Enjoyed it .. service on the mark 8/16/2006

Had not been to Wisteria in a while and was in the mood for comfort food. It may not be the best presentation, it is very good american dishes and much better than Food 101 whos name even says they are very basic and in the early learning stages. I had the duck and it was very tasty and well done and my partner had the summer papperdelle. The noodles were a bit thick and too much garlic, but a generous portion and lots of vegtables. They have a very nice wine list, good selection that is attractively priced. They serve wine the the ""proper"" glasses and their servers know and understand wine. I was impressed at the quality of their service. They added white butcher paper since my last visit (which I do not like) but I am sure it saves them money, but at least they clean between courses. Would not say Wisteria is one of my favorites, but worth a visit every now and then, and much better than the comfort food diner (Food 101) up the street. more

Underrated Gem 8/10/2006

Wisteria is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I think it's underrated though, or maybe just doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves. I've yet to be disappointed there, no matter how often I go. The restaurant is fairly small, but has a really cool design to it - exposed brick wall, orginal art on the walls, rustic wood floors. The room gets really crowded on weekends - so definitely make reservations. Because of the small size of the restaurant and the crowds, it can get a little loud at times. All that aside, it is still a romantic experience. The food is some of the best in the city. Every soup I've tried here has been perfectly done. The entrees are all great as well, my overall favorite being the pork tenderloin. This is the first place I took the chef's suggestion and had my pork cooked medium (instead of well). I was so glad I did. The pork melts in your mouth. Pros: Great food, Ambiance more

Excellent southern cooking, warm & inviting atmosphere, great service 8/9/2006

This place has the best chicken & corn pudding in Atlanta. The braised collard greens are the best and the squash soup, when it's on the menu, is so, so good. This is one of my top faves in the city for sure. Pros: the menu, the wine list, the service Cons: none I can think of more

Intown Living Excellence 6/29/2006

My friend and I dropped by Wisteria on a Wednesday with no reservations to see what we could taste, & were impressed. Even after I showed up 30 mins late we were still seated promptly. Service was good, not too pressing. Our watermark appeitizer (the crab cake) came with corn & basil chips, which was different and tasty. She had the tenderloin meatloaf, me the pork, and although the potatoes with mine could have been a little softer, the sweet potato souffle was great counterpoint to the meat. For a small as the space is, there were no less than 3 large (10+ people) groups there, who all seemed to be having a good time. Good food, good times, bring friends. Pros: Warm service, Complimentary valet Cons: Small Space more

Great Restaurant 5/30/2006

My family & I (8 total) ate at Wisteria the weekend of Mother's Day with some out-of-town inlaws. I was careful to pick a place that had majority good reviews & found very few negative reviews about Wisteria, so I decided to make reservations. The out-of-towners loved their food and ambience and the wait staff was very knowledgable and friendly. A couple in our party ordered the veggie plate, which was more of a mixture of the daily sides. I would recommend this dish for something different. Everything was cooked to perfection and I was complimented on my choice of restaurants. Obviously good for a big group, but might be an even better place for a quiet, romantic dinner. Pros: Taste, Service, Ambience Cons: 20 min wait w/ rsvp more

Best Hummus in Town 5/12/2006

The appetizer alone made it worth writing this review. No appetizer in town can top the black eyed pea hummus! The wine list is fabulous, and the service is also tops. i have never had a bad experience at Wisteria. Pros: wines, service, valet parking more

Wonderful 2/2/2006

A truly pleasant dining experience. The service was attentive and well versed. The menu selection was diverse and included unique touches to familiar foods. I had the skate, which was excellent. My companions had the special and the catfish which were equally as good. For the price, this restaurant is a jewel. Pros: Food, Wine, Service Cons: Parking more

what great food and waitstaff 10/27/2005

Me and my girlfriend went to wisteria for dinner a few weeks ago and man was it awsome. My server knew the wine list like the back of his hand, and helped us pick the perfect wine with our food. My girlfriend had the tuna and man was it good. I had the steak fillet with mac and cheese. It was slap your moma good. we also started with the mussels. They were as good as the smelled. We found our knew favorite place in the city. Pros: waitstaff, food, wine list more

exellent wine list. the front of the house manager; Katie is amazing. sophisticated comfort food. can't beat it! more

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. 10/23/2005

I visited Wisteria for the third time recently and the menu has changed. I was a little upset that the catfish was gone, but they made up for it with amazing small plates. I had the pork belly(which sounds a little scary but was delicious), the fried lobster tail(what can I say except YUM), and the duck tostada(excellent as well). The wine list was elegant and eclectic. My server, Julie, was really great. Sevice was prompt, pleasant, and professional. Make your reservations now, this place is fabulous. Pros: service, wine list and food. more

a wine lovers dream 10/19/2005

my boyfriend and i recently dined at this charming upscale but unassuming restaurant this evening. We enjoyed everything about our experience. The food was pitch perfect and the service (Jeffrey is the best) right on. Jeffrey was very knowledgable about wine and helped us to select a perfect 1/2 bottle of white for our starters...and a fun 2/3 bottle of Pinot Noir for our entrees. I should note that the wine list is extensive and quite sophisticated...but not at all overpriced. The markup on wines at this location has to be the lowest I have seen for some time. I highly recommend that you try this spot out. And heh, ask for JEFFREY. Pros: WINE LIST, SERVICE, FOOD Cons: n/a, n/a, n/a more

A Great Romantic Weeknight Dining Atomsphere 9/24/2005

This was a great weeknight romantic restaurant. My dinner (maple-glazed pork tenderloins) and dessert (creme brulee) were scrumptous. I thought that the menu would have been a bit more extensive, but other than that, it's definitely rated as one of my Atlanta favorites. I would also recommend it for a small business dinner location. Pros: Valet Parking Cons: Limited Menu more

A little-known teasure 7/6/2005

This place remained hidden from me for 4 years, but now that I know about it--I can't wait to go back!! I visited Wisteria with a large group of people and all of us were thrilled about our meals. We had many different dietary needs, particularly special food allergy needs. All of these needs were met with competence and kindness! The food was amazing, so tasteful, with interesting combinations. I can highly recommend the crab cake, the steak, the rack of lamb, and ALL of the desserts. I suggest making reservations, and be prepared for some noise. The dining area is small but packed, so it can get loud. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience Cons: Noise more

Great Meal and Service 7/4/2005

Wisteria continues to be one of my favorites in the Highlands. Food is very good and creative. The mac & cheese is excellent comfort food that I just love. Not fancy, but delicious. Their wine list is very good and the prices reasonable. Definitely worth many more visits. Pros: Mac & Cheese, Wine List, Service Cons: Parking, Bar too small more

Fantastic Restaurant 3/28/2005

Wisteria has always been an excellent dining experience. The wait staff are courteous, friendly, and attentive. I eat here about twice per month and have had consistant service and food quality every time. My personal favorites are the Calamari, Tuna, and Tenderloin, though you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Great wine list. Fantastic date restaurant! Pros: food, price, service Cons: parking more
