Best

One of the best ATL has to offer. Ive been here on romantic dates to blow out birthday bashes. The food is great, beautiful atmosphere and the service is awesome too.

WONDERFUL 3/12/2012

My new favorite place!!! I had checked out their menu online before I made the reservation, and it looked like they had a lot to offer. The food was better than I imagined and the wine list was varied and reasonably priced. We shared a bunch of appetizers and each one was better than the last. Every entree was top-notch. The manager Julie was very helpful and the service was so friendly. The restaurant has a great feel and the food was amazing!!! Great place!!! more

Always my favorite!! 3/5/2012

I dine out quite frequently, and Wisteria is one of those places that just gives you a friendly, family atmosphere that other places lack. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with friendly smiles, from the host to the servers. Service is not pushy bu just awesome. The food is aboslutely amazing...the Iron skillet fried chicken and the Pork tenderloin are just to die for. I would recommend Wisteria to everyone.Great place!!!! more

Great hosts! Great experience. 3/5/2012

I made a reservation for 8 earlier in the week and at the as I'm pulling up two friends who said they couldn't make it told me they'd like to join. Walking in, I was embarrassed to ask if I could increase my reservation to 10. It was a busy Friday night. But in no time they moved a few tables around and had all ten of us sat. From there, the appetizers, entrees, wine, and deserts were amazing. Service was great. I certainly recommend Wisteria for any special occasion or just a nice meal. more

Always Great 2/23/2012

I always forget how nice valet parking is until it rains and I was thankful for it during our most recent visit to Wisteria. I was meeting an out of town guest who was running late so I started the evening with a drink at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and suggested the ""Old wives tail"" cocktail as the perfect drink for wet cold weather, and it was.....Twice! When my guest arrived from the airport the manager was very helpful and offered to take and store her luggage! Our dinner was fantastic. We started with the mussels which and the deviled eggs...Strange combo but delicious. We both opted for the N. Carolina flounder special for our entrees and I can honestly say it was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. It was served with spinach, sun chokes and grapefruit with an amazing butter sauce. The service was fantastic as usual and the only complaint was we were to full for desert. more

Don't ask to split the bill! 10/21/2011

Six of us recently visited for our first time to celebrate a birthday. I must say the food was wonderful. However, when it came time to pay the bill, even though we had told the waiter in advance who were couples, the waiter gave us one bill. We asked it to be split, and were told ""our system can't"". Since we had ordered different price items, we attempted to split ourselves, which was extremely embarrassing. Men just do not like doing that! My husband (who was having the birthday) became so upset I called the manager over. He proceeded to tell me we were the first group that had EVER asked the bill to be split - and expected me to believe him. There were several tables of women and women almost always ask bills to be split! Our bill was over $300 and he offered us a free $10 dessert. My husband had to leave the restaurant he was so irritated. There were few people left in the restaurant by this time and they could have offered to cancel out the bill and split it, but only offered a $10 dessert - UNBELIEVABLE! We love supporting small businesses, but this is the first that couldn't figure out how to split a bill and we won't be going back. more

Calculated Gratuity on Tax!!! 5/22/2011

I have no complaints re: the food, although I found a lot of the dinner selections unapppealing and the carrrot cake dessert was small and overly sweet. What I do have a big problem with is that my Scoutmob coupon stated 18% gratuity may be added. That's fine for the pre discounted cost of the meal, but to include the tax in total for calculating the gratuity in never done and is cheezy!!! more

Great Gluten Free Menu 1/9/2011

Wisteria is a great choice for gluten free dinning. They have a great selection of gluten free options and everything is always fresh, well prepared and great tasting. We have eaten there 3 or 4 times and have always had a good experience. The noise level can be a bit harsh, especially on a busy Saturday night, but the place has a good vibe about it and everyone seems to be having a good time. Make sure you have a reservation if you are going on Friday or Saturday nights. more

Disappointing 11/15/2010

I've been there twice in the last month and struggled to find anything here worth trying again until things change. Two weeks ago my wife and I were at Wisteria and couldn't agree on any of the entrees so we settled for apps, the wine special (a nice expensive Pino), a couple of salads and dessert all of which worked well. It was good night out and we thought worth a second attempt. With a great old friend visiting us from DC this week, we tried Wisteria again last night in hopes of a offering a great example of in town Atlanta dining. Again, the service and ambiance were nice but the entrees tried which included the Shrimp and Grits, Skate Wing , Molasses rubbed Pork Tenderloin and the Gemilli Pasta were all disappointing. None of us finished our plate with any real satisfaction. It was so bad I skipped dessert. With a handful of other great restaurants so close and within walking distance (Soto/Fritti, Babette's, Rathburn's and Urban Licks and others) Jason Hill needs to spin up something new and soon. more

Impressive 7/12/2010

My family and I went to this place when my cousin visited us from overseas. We were truly impressed by their food selection. It was fresh and that made it flavorful. The service was prompt but the place was not spacious enough to cater to a large number of guests. more

What a wonderful restaurant 6/27/2010

Wisteria is a lifesaver for us. Being a celiac (gluten intolerance) eating out is more than a challenge for me and Wisteria is so wonderful with its' separate gluten free menu. The food is always delicious and fresh to the table. My gluten free options are amazing and my husband always enjoys what he has. It's a perfect marriage at Wisteria!! The service is good and neighborhood friendly. At the busiest times it can get a bit noisy in the dinning room, but it sort of adds a bit of excitement to the evening.....being at an 'in' place with great food and a wonderful wine list..what more could you ask for? All celiacs must give this place a try!! Everyone else as well. S.M. Pros: Honest food and a wonderful staff more

Wisteria is legit. 6/4/2010

The menu is diverse. They provide enough choices but not too many to overwhelm. The portion sizes for the entrees were generous (meaning just right) for a fine dining experience. We had the sea scallops on braised pork belly and raddichio for an appetizer. Very good start to an excellent meal. My wife had the North Atlantic Skate Wing (Stingray) w/grits and asparagus. The fish was delicate but not fishy. It was perfect. I had the Pork Tenderloin glazed with molasses served w/apple and walnut relish and sweet potato souffle. We also shared side of braised greens mac and cheese (made with sharp cheddar). We shared the coconut creme pie for dessert. The taste was good but the portion small. The waiter could have helped us make a better selection since we had never been there. This is definitely a restaurant we would return to. We had a great overall experience. 5 stars. Pros: Excellent food, thoughtful service Cons: Noisy, too mant tables in small space, small desserts more

Absolutely Perfect 2/27/2010

Wisteria is a favorite for my husband and I and many of my friends. The food is great. The staff has always been very accommodating and helpful. If you're looking for a nice romantic place or a place to have dinner with friends, I would highly recommend Wisteria. It's a neighborhood favorite. Pros: Wonderful Atmosphere and great food! more
