We""ve loved this place (on Washington) since it first opened.... breakfast, lunch and dinner are all great. I can't even begin to pick out a favorite dish, but the veggie burgers...

Worst

Every time I leave this nice restaurant, I'm disapointed. Today it was for breakfast and I found the 2 egg white omlette with spinach and chesse to be extermely dry and tasteless...

nummy biscuits and gravy 10/11/2002

Biscuits tender, sawmill gravy white, salty, nice sausage. Mmmmm. At dinner, the veggie plates are pretty good, too, and the corn muffins rock. Oh yeah, and if you have an aversion to kids, don't spend much time at the Lincoln location. High chairs abound. more

a very good experience. there was a wait but it was sorth every second. the food was good, hot and timely though the service could have been a bit more attentive. i like this place and will go back with friends more

Try the crab cakes, Jumpin Jack/John (something like that), and never leave the cornbrand standing on your plate, eat it, live it, and enjoy it. more

I love having breakfast at the Wishbone. The food has been delicious everytime. The are extremely consistent and I never leave unhappy. I always leave with a full stomach and a clean plate! Pros: Fast Service, Excellent Food, Polite Waitstaff Cons: Long waits more

I was thrilled to see Wishbone getting well deserved kudos. I've been lucky to eat in many of Chicago's finer restaurants. Wishbone is my favorite, casual or not. The food (mostly nreakfast) is fantastic and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed. Above all, it's a place where you see a cross representation of the people who grace our beautiful city dining together on a regular basis. Colorful, fun, and ALWAYS worth the wait!!! I went there for Brunch last week, and it was great! It was crowded, but what do you expect for a Sunday brunch? Try the blackened catfish, however, the mimosas were a little weak. :) Pros: Food, Good Parking Cons: Crowed more

Look no further 5/28/2002

Wishbone is a Chicago institution and it deserves every morsel of praise it gets. While I can't recommend it for dinner, it is a sure winner for breakfast and dinner. This is excellent Southern American comfort food. They do it all right. The Lincoln location is just as strong. You will get lots of great food in a fun, loud environment at a reasonable price. Go to Wishbone. It's that simple. more
