It's gettin real in the Whole Foods parking lot. But other than that, this location is pretty decent sized, plus for some reason I've seen more small-time TV actors here than anywhere else in LA, if that sort of thing matters to you more

This is my favorite Whole Foods store and fortunately, it's the closest to my house. The staff is courteous and helpful. Most Whole Foods stores don't have as big a hot bar as this one. It's the best. I even tried the vegan pizza once and it was surprisingly good. \r \r Their veggie section is huge. Great and varied selection of veggies, fruit and other grocery products. The people in the nutrition section are especially knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a lot of what I call ""convenience foods"" - chopped veggies and fruit in containers that you can grab to make a quick salad or side dish. The meat and seafood departments are great. I never have to worry about buying meat that's poisoned with hormnes or antibiotics. They have a great variety snacks and the frozen food section is huge. And they have a pretty good sized bakery. Yeah, Whole Foods is pricey, but it's worth it to me to get quality products.\r \r A few years ago they renovated and widened the aisles. That makes a huge difference when trying to negotiate around other people's shopping carts.\r \r The parking lot can be a nightmare, especially at rush hour. I try to go between 9 and 10:30pm and it's no problem. Sometimes, if I can't avoid parking in the lot, I'll either park close to 3rd street or down toward the K-Mart part of the lot. more

This place is a vegetarian's dream grocery store, with a focus on natural and organic goods and a gargantuan selection of fruits, vegetables and vegan products. But carnivores won't feel neglected, as stores also boast a vast selection of top-quality meats, poultry and fish. Also expect fresh-baked goods, house ware, a floral department and a well-stocked vitamin and personal-product section. Deli offers hot and cold prepared foods and artisanal cheeses. more

Whole Foods took over all of the Mrs. Gooches grocery stores and put all of the local health food stores out of business, except for Erewhon.. Which probably won't last for too many more years If you like to eat healthy, Whole Foods does have everything that you could want, except decent prices. They charge 3 times more for the same almonds that I can get from Trader Joe's. I can't think of a time, when a bag of groceries from Whole Foods cost less than $60.00 and frequently costs more than $70.00 for one bag, especially if you go in there hungry and buy hot take out food too. more
