West Coast Roofing & Contracting

This is the first time we have used West Coast Roofing & Contracting. They removed an existing roof and installed a new metal roof system. The installation process was good, and the roof looks good. I would reuse them and would recommend them. more

We decided to use West Coast Roofing & Contracting Inc. because they were the winner of the bid process. They were the most reasonable. They replaced the soffit on the metal roof of an 8-story, 56-unit condo building. They also installed some rain hoods over the elevator vents. They had to use a crane to get up there, and everything turned out well. Their timeliness was good, as was their quickness in terms of executing the job. West Coast Roofing & Contracting came when they said they would come and did what they said they would do. The owner came back to look at the job when it was done, and we found a few little things together. They came back and fixed that right away. They took care of any concerns I had immediately; they would send someone out the next day. They did a good job; I was pleased with the work they did. They put on a new roof and did some small repairs along the way. It looks great. They are pretty trustworthy. It is quality work at a fair price. more

West Coast Roofing & Contracting repaired the leaking roof on a 1968 house that my step-son owns. The house is rented out and, initially, the renters called a few roofing companies and got no response. That was when I called Jim and asked him to go look at the roof. He went out the next day and said that the problem was that the valleys were gone. He gave me a fair price and got the job done. I couldn't ask for anything more. I have known Jim since around 1994 and had previously recommended him for a roofing project for a Lincoln-Mercury dealership I was working with 15 years ago. At the time, Jim was an estimator working for another company and the dealership called him to get an estimate on a new roof for their huge building. This dealership was huge -- they would sell 30 cars a day. They got the estimate from Jim, said they had never seen pricing that good, and hired his company to do the job. I have absolutely been satisfied with Jim's service. He fulfilled my obligation to a T. He did exactly what he said he was going to do: He called our renters ahead of time and got the job done. I did not receive any complaints from the renters. I am 100 miles away and I had full confidence in Jim. He was very fair with the price. I was thrilled. John Nye more

West Coast Roofing & Contracting was very cooperative when repairing my roof. They had to do it when we were not at home, which was very nice. Some companies require that you be there. I was happy with the service, and the leak is fixed. They came out and first tried a minor, very inexpensive repair that they thought might take care of it. It ended up not working, so we went ahead with the larger repair, but it was very nice that they would try that first. Most companies would not try an inexpensive option first. That willingness is the definition of good customer service. more

They gave us a fair estimate, and the next day we received an email with the proposed specs for the work. He told us that we didn't need a new roof at this time, though it will be necessary in the future. We were able to just repair spots on the roof. It looks like we expected; it looks good. I hire them for work on buildings that we own and have had an overall positive experience with them. When there were a couple of issues that needed follow-up attention, they were attentive in making return visits to check leaks. Their service is exceptional and their work is very good, though they are on the high end of the pricing scale. West Coast Roofing & Contracting has a good, qualified team. Jim is very hands-on and calls me directly about the projects he is working on for us. The 2 buildings happen to be close to his corporate office, so he is often on site as well. A neighbor of mine had a metal roof put on by West Coast Roofing & Contracting and I watched them as they did it. I got their business card because I was interested in having a new roof put on my own house. I had them do a GAF shingle roof and am very happy with the way it turned out. They had it all completely dried the first day and finished the second day. They came back and did an excellent clean-up job on the third day. It looks great. Very pleased--getting used to the sounds of the pods dropping from the large tree in back. When I went up to clean the gutters, I was pleasantly surprised that most of the leaves and other debris had scooted off the roof via the wind. My only issue (and it is rather minor in the overall scheme of things) was that the gutter leaked, and I had to have it repaired by another contractor. more
