Wellspring Christian Academy

I often think about how different our lives would be without having Wellspring to literally raise our children! Being working parents we spend most of our time away from our children and others influence them far more than we realize. Without Wellspring it would be a terrible situation. My wife and I are so thankful we have the great foundation of Wellspring to teach our kids. Not only cognitive learning, but also the things that build character and moral understanding - right from wrong and things like accountability, manners and developing a strong self-image. The things that our kids learn and the love that is shared is no doubt molding their lives and their future. Wellspring is an awesome "substitute" for busy parents in a busy world! more

When my husband I moved to Denton from out of state for job transfers, our biggest concern was childcare. When we arrived to Denton the name ""Wellspring"" was all we heard. People in the neighborhood that we just met, people at our new jobs, and even people in the grocery store gave us good reviews & references about Wellspring. We wanted to be open minded and check out all options in town. We heard right!!! There is no place to compare to Wellspring! Our boys have been enrolled now for 4 months and couldn't be happier! We tell the grandparents, who live out of state & were not happy with our move that the boys school is a bigger blessing than our new jobs! We love Wellspring and recommend it to everyone!!!! more

My mother & I just visited the school with the intention of enrolling my son. We were so happy with our visit! The office staff was so pleasant and we loved the facility. Everything looked so clean and fun! I am looking forward to having my child there - I have heard great things! Excitied! more

I agree with Giss l.... RUDE RUDE RUDE!! I finally got a chance to write about this daycare. When I came to get a tour I was told everyone was in naptime and I would have to schedule an appointment. I had already been to 6 Denton area daycares and they were all fine with letting me walk in and have a tour, not schedule one. 2 daycares let me look through the glass while the kids are napping. So, I had to come back for a tour. I liked what I saw and wanted my daughter on the waitlist. I had not met the teacher yet, as I came at 5:30, and I guess she had gone home for the day. I put my daughter's information down to hold a spot and awaited a call. Three weeks later, when they hired a new teacher and had a spot, I received a call. I asked for a tour and was met with a sound of disgust. The lady on the phone was rude and said I was already given one. I told her I had not met the teacher and I wanted to. She said she was busy the whole week with other tours, pictures, and chapel. I said that was fine and to take my daughter off the list. The next day I received a call from the owner. She said she wanted to schedule a time around my schedule. I thought wow, that’s a change of attitude. I told her I would be free at 5:30 that evening. I repeated that twice in the conversation. I arrived with my two munchkins and my husband to have our tour at 5:20 p.m. I was told by the lady at the front that a family had just gone up for a tour and someone would be with me. I thought, ok we are early and that was fine. We waited until 5:50 pm and finally walked down stairs and said we were done and we did not want our kids to go there. The large woman at the desk didn't seem to care and said ""ok"". I got a call at 6:07 p.m. from a woman saying she had me down for the following day. I said ""No, the owner was supposed to give me a tour because you were too busy and we waited 30 minutes and were never greeted."" I said I did not want my kids there if this is how the daycare was and that my kids were fine where they were. She said ""Good"" and hung up. RUDE RUDE RUDE!! I do not see how someone can run a daycare and have such a busy chaotic schedule. Hello?!?! They can't!! It’s obvious they can't or else they would make time for the parents and the kids and focus on them. That’s their clients, per say. more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE RUDE PPL!! I like everyone else has a review to write on this because you want to avoid this place, the lady in the front answers you with smart remarks, she has messed up plenty of times with how much i owed, even when i told her i knew how much it was but until she finally gave in and knew she was wrong she didnt even want to give me my money back and said it could only be counted towards the next time i paid for my childs daycare! My daughter who is old enough 7 years old says they are even rude and i wouldnt trust your little ones with them either! I went the first time to take a tour and rite in front of my eyes i seen a lady watching the 2 year olds snatch a little boy from a car u ride in cause he didnt want to go in, so my 2 year old and 1 year old were def not going there! BT after all the rudeness and dumb ppl i finally took her out! Trust me they shouldnt have got no award for best in denton!!! more

How did they ever get Best of Denton? I went in yesterday and asked for a tour because I wanted to enroll my child in their after-school program, I was told by her that they had openings. She said she was too busy and told me that I would have to schedule an appointment! I decided to go back the next day at a different time thinking she might have more time for me, and this is what happened…\r \r When I walk into the building the first thing that I notice is that there is no one around to great me, just a note telling me to go up stairs to the office. (I wonder how far I would have made it into the building, it didn't look very secure!) I make it to the office and walk in and there is the director sitting at her desk, she looks up at me and says “yeah?” I ask for a tour and she says “for what?” I tell her that I’m thinking of enrolling my child in their after-school program. She then sighs and asks me how old my child is, I tell her and she then tells me that I will have to go on a waiting list because she has no openings! I tell her that I was the one that came by the day before, she then says “oh, you are that lady” (what the hell is that supposed to mean?) So apparently she had time for someone else but not for me! She struck me as lazy and trying to get away with only the minimum of work! I’m not even sure that I would have enrolled him after her attitude. I must have been interrupting her game of candy crush or something, because I still didn't get the tour that I asked for! I don’t see how this place has all of these great reviews, in fact I was wondering how a place that was supposedly so great had openings when others had waiting lists, now I know why! \r more

I want to thank Wellspring for changing my son's life! He not only loves to sing and read, but his confidence has improved so much since being at Wellspring. He loves going to Wellspring and sometimes cries when he has to leave. I can't thank them enough for investing in my son's future! more

Both my girls have been going to Wellspring for five years now. And I feel like it's the best Christian daycare in Denton. The kids truly learn about God, and they love going to see their teachers. The teachers really enjoy teaching the children about God and showing them how much God loves all of them. I am so blessed my mom told me about Wellspring and I wouldn't want the girls in any other place than where they are now. Everyone who works there is so wonderful and so full of God's love! more

I called them last week and spoke with a woman about possibly putting my 15 month in the program. She was nice on the phone and explained how she would like to see my daughter intact with the other children since she was two months older. I was excited to hear that she would like to meet her and she said she would call me to set up a time after she talked to the instructor. The next day I didn't get a phone call from them and I was always told the best time to go see the day care is to just drop by! So I went after work with out my daughter to talk to this woman who never called me and to see the facility. She was not there but there was another woman in the front. She looked at me with this rude look like what was I doing there and how the heck was I? I told her the lady's name who I spoke with and her response was "" Ya I remember hearing her talk to you yesterday. Well she is unavailable today and will be all day."" I then explained my daughter circumstances and I need to removed her and put her in a new day care ASAP. She spoke to be like I was such a burden and didn't want me there at all. She didn't even get up from her seat and introduce herself or tell me anything about the facility. She was so rude from the beginning till the end. I asked for a tour and she just acted like I was crazy for even asking her for one and she wouldn't even let me. Is this how you are supposed to treat someone who is trying to give you business? She didn't even move once our of her seat or giving any information. She just told me she would have the other lady call me whenever she can but it surely wouldn't be today(the day I was at Wellsprings). She took my name and number and sent me out the door. This was on Friday and it is not Thursday of the next week and I have yet gotten a phone call. Great way to pull people in. The lady was so rude and so lazy. Even after all this happened if they would have called me I would have given them a second chance. I reached out twice to them and they clearly don't care about having my daughter part of their program which clearly shows how much they care about Wellsprings. Thank you for making up my mind for me!\r \r DON'T EVEN BOTHER! more

As a single dad, raising my two kids alone, I don't know what I would do without the excellent help of the ladies at Wellspring! They not only ensure my kids get a good education, but I know they are loved and well taken care of in such a great environment! My kids are proof that Wellspring works miracles! No cutting corners, no price jack ups! Wellspring has always delivered a high standard program with "extras" and it's been years since they have passed a pay increase onto us parents! As everything else has gone up, I was so glad to hear that I do not have to see the cost of the best care in town going up as well! Families need to recognize that they can offer the best to their child for an affordable price! Thank you Wellspring for thinking of the cost effectiveness for the working family and allowing our children such wonderful care for such a fair and good price! more

He was delayed in his learning and my husband and I were hesitant to start him in their structured learning class but it turned out to be the best thing we could have ever done! With their consistent, caring staff and the great curriculum they were able to not only encourage and help my child but they brought his learning level up to above average! I know he is now more than prepared for kindergarten! What a great foundation they have set for him! Thank you, thank you! Grateful parents! more
