BEWARE- DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE 12/6/2009

PLEASE do not submit your pet or yourself to the additional suffering you could encounter at this place. Initially it may seem the dr just lacks bedside manner. I made mistake of not realizing on first two visits which were very minor that this man has little, if any, compassion for animals. Additionally he lacks in diagnosis and correct treatment options. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!. Pros: WORST vet I've ever encountered Cons: Total lack of compassion for animals more

Our Vet for 18 Years, hands down... 9/20/2009

My parents had always gone to Dr. Martin with our first dog of 15 years (which had unfortunately died of cancer). As a teenager, I witnessed my parent's dedication to do everything as possible to keep our dog going until the very last day. Dr Martin made our dog's life live out as long as she could by being caring to our loved pet, kind and considerate to my parents at all times through moments of financial hardships. As an adult, I bring my dogs there-I KNOW regardless in the event I have financial issues my dogs will always be taken care of....Who cares if the reception area is kind of small, or parking isn't the size of Costco...Bottom line, if your pet needs you will get it regardless cause you are a responsible owner...C'mon people what are you really complaining about? Get real...Your not paying for a posh office or valet..Also, there's a difference between Veterinarian and office help..They're different people and in the event someone had a bad day and took it out on you..Don't take it personal cause its not about you...It's about your pet.. Pros: Affordable price, Bully breed friendly,Considerate more

Warren Animal Hospital is not as bad as the other reviews make it seem! 11/19/2008

I took my dog to Warren Animal Hopsital two years ago for a bite he received on his right cheek. The bite became so large that it seemed like he had a tumor and Dr. Art Martin removed it. To this day my dog is fine. I then took my dog to get neutered about over a year ago and he is fine. Both scars healed nicely. Now, my dog tore a ligament on his right knee and I took him to Dr. Art Martin again. I hope my dog has a positive recovery as he has had in the previous times. It is unfortunate that some people have experienced negative outcomes at Warren Animal Hosptial. Here is one customer who so far has had good experiences as of now. There is not a lot of parking, but I am not a person to complain as long as my dog gets seen. The place is small but they have not much room to expand in the property. Everytime I have been to the hopstial, there are always a lot of people with their pets. Dr. Art Martin has been there for a long time, over ten years that I can remember. Pros: Caring Veterinarian Cons: Reception a bit small but nice. more

I disagree 3/5/2007

I was in shock after reading the reviews that were written for Warren Animal Hospital. I actually got my dogs life save twice by the vet. My rottweiler was a puppy at the time and we had just got him. He somehow got out of my yard and wandered out. After locating our pet a day later, we found him with a deep laceration to his neck . It appears as though he was attacked by a bobcat. We didnt know what to do so we took him in to Warren animal hospital. Our poor dog Cyrus' neck was begining to smell so the vet advised us to prepare for the worse. He did the best he could and after leaving him there for two days, we were able to bring him back home. We were advised to take care of his surgery and we were to bring him back in a week for a follow up. we left him indoors because we feared his injury would get infections from being outdoors. One afterternoon (2 days after Cyrus came home) we found our window bars bent as though a burglar had come in, to our surprise, Cyrus had bent our metal bars with his head, resulting in re-injuring his neck and ripping off his stitches. We rushed him over to Warren and he told us he would not make it. The vet again put all of his attention on our loving pet. When we got him back, our dog was not able to walk or stand on his own. It made us very sad to see him in the condition that he had found himself. Its been 5 years to the date since that happened, and our loving dog Cyrus is living and is still part of our family, stronger than ever, thanks to the dedication of the Vet. Pros: good price, realistic diagnosis, does not make false promises Cons: parking, reception area kind of small. more

Warren animal Hospital are BUTCHERS not DOCTORS!!!! 12/18/2006

If you ever want to see your animal again, do not put your loving trusting animal in their hands. We recently to took our cat Boo to this vet when we had an emergency. Our cat had a major laceration in her lower back due to broken glass. We rushed her in and the Dr. told us that she would be fine and he would operate the next day. I went into the office first thing on Wed. morning and saw my darling kitty. She was alert and purring! I then had another meeting with the Dr. and he told me she would be fine and returning to me in a couple days. On Thursday I spoke with the receptionist and she told me my kitty had just gotten out of surgery and she was fine. We were shocked when Dr. Martin called us Friday morning and informed us that Boo had indeed passed away. He informed us that she NEVER received surgery and it was a ""miscommunication"" Also, he told me that on Thursday evening when she died, it was the first time since we brought her in that anyone even checked her wound or changed her bandages!!!! My poor baby was sitting in a cage for two days left to die by a staff that could care less about an animal's life. Sure, Dr. Martin may be able to treat fleas but he could not be bothered to save a life. This is the most unprofessional and uncaring Vet I have ever experienced. These people DO NOT deserve the right to work in animal care. Money is the bottom line for these butchers! They are lazy, un clean and worst of all un caring. Boo has left behind her sister Smoosh who is still meowing looking for her best friend and playmate. I only wish now that I would have taken her to our normal vet, Los Feliz small animal hospital! I am doing everything in my power to stop people from going to the Warren animal hospital I have even started an official investigation into this ""clinic"" by the Vetenarian's Board. I am urging anyone who has had a negative experience to speak out, so we may save future lives from these butchers. more

WORST VETERINARY 12/16/2006

Most unprofessional veterinary hosptial. They lied to my brother about the procedures being done to ""save"" his cat and they ended up killing the poor kitten due to unprofessional care and neglect. more

Disappointment. 9/6/2006

I have never stepped foot inside of the Warren Animal Hospital, nor met the veterinarian in charge, but I am crestfallen and extremely disappointed in my single experience with this institution. This past Saturday, I adopted a dog from the South Central animal shelter. As he hadn't been fixed yet, he was sent to Warren Animal Hospital to be neutered. Animal Services told me that my dog would be sent to the hospital the same day then have surgery on Tuesday, since Monday was the Labor Day holiday. I repeatedly called the hospital on Tuesday to find out whether he was ready to be picked up but their phone line was down. Finally, I got through to the receptionist who informed me that my dog would not be released until Thursday. Because of work, I asked them to board him for one night so I could pick him up first thing on Friday morning. She confirmed that would be fine. We spoke about this on Wednesday AND Thursday. So imagine my surprise when, on Thursday afternoon, I get a phone call from Animal Services to immediately pick up my dog from the South Central shelter. Warren Animal Hospital had sent the poor dog BACK TO THE POUND! I rang the hospital to find out why and they said there was a ""miscommunication"" but did not apologize for the mix-up. Although the receptionist was very nice and polite and courteous, I feel completely let down and disappointed by the outrageous action of sending my dog, in his post-surgical state, back to the animal shelter without my permission or even notifying me first. Needless to say, I will not be using Warren Animal Hospital's services in the future. Pros: Courteous staff. Cons: Lack of sympathy for animals, no consideration for communication. more
